Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Location: Crane

Develop models in physics simulation frameworks to represent system performance and behaviors. Conduct simulation runs for studies using defined run matrix and produce output. Assist in performing verification and validation of simulation input, output and results. Post-process output data into measures of merit and effectiveness to support the analysis plan objectives. Assist in interpretation of model results and development of presentations to deliver findings and conclusions to the customer in support of their analytical objectives.

Assist in architecting, developing, and testing AFSIM plug-ins using C++. US citizenship and a secret level security clearance is required. 3+ years of experience with mission-level modeling and simulation and Operations Analysis principals. Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, operations research, computer science or similar field. Knowledge of modeling and simulation methodologies and tools (i.e. AFSIM, Suppressor, or EADSIM). Familiarization with developing experimental designs, executing study plans, and constructing scenario elements.

Experience with object-oriented programming and principles, particularly C++.

Experience with statistics and their application in Monte Carlo simulations.

Experience with modeling and simulation methodologies and tools. Experience presenting data and results to team members and customers. Experience developing AFSIM or other M&S software plug-ins with C++ or a similar language.

Experience with ancillary disciplines such as radar operations, weapons systems, satellites, etc. LI-JJ1
