Lifecycle Engineering Technical Specialist, Liberty Works

Indianapolis, IN / Hybrid - 3 Office Days/Week
- Manage work within the Lifecycle Engineering deployed team, including task assignment and ensuring work meets technical standards within required time frames.
- Manage budget and schedule for the lifecycle engineering scope of work for a new development program in Liberty Works.
- Track and manage contractual requirements and deliverables in areas such as Safety Management, Sustainment and Services Support, FRACAS, DTA Reviews, Reliability Analysis, Ground Support Equipment Development, Technical Manual Development, Product Logistics Support, Reliability‑Centered Maintenance, and other Engine and Airframe Integration Maintainability Support.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical guidance to the Lifecycle Engineers and perform certain task delivery duties as required by engineering leadership.
- Facilitate an environment of cooperation and collaboration in the EfS deployed team that extends to the rest of Advanced Development.
- Encourage innovation within the EfS deployed team to solve technical problems encountered from development through to entry to service and beyond.
- Lead technical conversations in customer reviews and reviews with regulatory and airworthiness authorities as required.
- Represent the Advanced Development Chief Lifecycle and Chief Project Engineer (as required) internally and with customers while promoting a positive, professional image of Lifecycle Engineering and Rolls‑Royce.
Basic Requirements:
- BCS (Bachelor’s degree) in engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Or MCS (Master’s degree) in engineering with 3+ years of experience
- Or JD/PhD in Engineering
- Experience and demonstrated capability in root cause investigation, including evidence‑based methods.
- Experience in product support of military applications.
- Experience and knowledge of the AE Series product line.
- Breadth of gas turbine engineering experience across engineering functions: design, performance, validation/verification, customer application, certification/qualification, maintenance & overhaul, repair, field service, etc.
- Proven ability to exercise sound technical and business judgement.
- Experience managing/leading/coaching people and teams to successful outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective and positive engagement on technical and business issues.

Hybrid working is a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement.
