HVAC Product Development Engineer

Position: HVAC New Product Development Engineer
Location: Indianapolis

** About this role
** The New Product Development Engineer (Systems Engineer) will support the design, development, and validation of residential HVAC systems. This role is responsible for applying engineering principles across thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and system architecture to deliver high-quality, reliable products.

The individual will work cross-functionally with design teams, lab technicians, and manufacturing partners to support product development from concept through testing and production. This position is based onsite in Indianapolis, IN and requires strong technical expertise, collaboration skills, and a self-starter mindset.
** Key Responsibilities
** Partner with design and engineering teams to translate requirements into components, subsystems, and finished products
** Basic Qualifications
** with 3+ years of engineering experience, OR
** Preferred Qualifications
** Knowledge of HVAC system architecture, controls, and electro-mechanical systems

Experience with engineering problem-solving, troubleshooting, and data analysis

Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced product development environment

Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills

Experience in HVAC systems or related thermal/mechanical product development

Knowledge of reliability engineering principles and testing methodologies

Experience with system modeling tools (MATLAB, Modelica, Python)
Familiarity with design of experiments (DOE) and data analysis techniques

Experience working with lab environments, prototype builds, and validation testing

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
