Location: Indianapolis

* Perform detailed engineering calculations using advanced software to support analysis and design efforts.
* Prepare and coordinate aviation civil construction documents—including drawings, specifications, technical reports, cost estimates, and implementable schedules—in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
* Conduct site investigations and field reconnaissance to collect existing physical data to promote informed design decisions.
* Collaborate with senior engineering staff on complex technical challenges and project solutions.
* Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior designers and engineers.
* Coordinate with internal teams, external clients, and construction contractors to achieve project objectives.
* Stay current with FAA criteria, emerging technologies, and industry regulations to improve deliverable quality and efficiency.
* Support additional project-related tasks as assigned to meet client and project needs.
* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
* Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and the ability to acquire additional registration in the State of the office assigned, through comity, within six (6) months.
* Minimum of five (5) years of civil engineering project experience.
* Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D – including modeling
* Experience using design tools relevant to aviation and civil site infrastructure.
* Working knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars and applicable aviation design standards and airspace considerations
* Practical knowledge of drainage calculations and related design standards.
* Proficiency with airfield lighting and navigational aid layout, and fundamental knowledge of electrical features.
* Ability to produce accurate, high-quality engineering drawings and construction documents within assigned timelines and established budgets.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Public speaking experience is a plus.
* Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and dynamic project environments.
* Proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple technical challenges and deadlines.
* Experience with or exposure to interfacing with the Federal Aviation Administration and/or a State Aviation or Aeronautic Office.
