V2X is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN supporting the development and integration of advanced software/firmware/hardware systems including store control electronics, mission computers, avionics, sensors, certification and mission equipment for airborne and ground platforms. The Systems Engineer will act as an engineer throughout the development life cycle, from concept development, requirements definition, functional analysis, design review support, system implementation, integration, verification, and validation.

The Systems Engineer will work within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), where effective communication and team building skills are critical to success.

• Act as an engineer throughout the development life cycle from concept development to validation.
• Define requirements and conduct functional analysis.
• Support design reviews and system implementation.
• Integrate, verify, and validate systems.
• Collaborate within the Integrated Product Team.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• At least two (2) years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering.
• Familiarity with requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification.
• Exposure to development, integration, and testing of systems for air, sea, and/or ground platforms.
• Experience with test execution, including assisting in test plan and procedure development.
• Ability to support Trade Studies and analyze technical data under guidance.
• Understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts with a willingness to apply them in problem-solving.
• Ability to collaborate within multi-discipline teams and provide technical insights.
• Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability, able to manage tasks and deliver quality work on schedule.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with agile development methods to deliver engineering solutions.
• Familiarity with DoD standards, processes, and regulatory requirements for defense systems development.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods, tools, and languages.
• Previous collaboration with cross-functional teams on complex engineering projects.
• Understanding of hardware/software interface design and integration best practices.
• Current Active DoD Secret or higher Clearance.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline.
