• Our client delivers comprehensive MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering services for the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry in Indiana.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
• Perform site visits, field surveys, and electrical system assessments to support design and construction phases
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including mechanical engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure coordinated design solutions
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and technical reports in accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Participate in project meetings and communicate design intent clearly to clients and stakeholders
• Support construction administration activities such as reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and performing site inspections
• Assist in mentoring junior staff and reviewing their design work for accuracy and code compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4–8 years of experience in electrical design for building systems (commercial or institutional preferred)
• Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD and Revit
• Solid understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA standards, and applicable building codes
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
• Familiarity with energy efficiency, sustainable design practices, and LEED documentation is a plus
