Position: Senior Industrial Automation & Controls Engineer (PLC / SCADA)
Location: Indianapolis

Indianapolis, IN (Onsite)

This position is ideal for experienced engineers with backgrounds in PLC programming, controls engineering, and SCADA systems

We are looking for a Senior Industrial Automation & Controls Engineer to join our team and lead the delivery of complex automation and system integration projects across multiple platforms.

If you enjoy owning projects from design through commissioning
, working directly with clients, and solving real-world automation challenges, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

This is a project-based engineering role (not maintenance or production support).

What You Will Do:
  • Lead full lifecycle automation projects
  • Develop and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Ignition, etc.)
  • Act as the technical lead and client interface on projects
  • Lead FAT, SAT, and on-site commissioning activities
  • Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues
  • Develop control system documentation (functional specs, IO lists, architecture)
  • Mentor engineers and drive best practices
What We Are Looking For :
  • Minimum 10 years in industrial automation / controls engineering
  • Strong experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems
  • Proven ability to independently deliver full lifecycle automation solutions (design through commissioning)
  • Experience with commissioning and client-facing work
  • Background in industrial or regulated environments (manufacturing, utilities, life sciences, etc.)
