Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear Fuel Assemblies
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead a team of engineers responsible for the mechanical design, and development of nuclear fuel assemblies for commercial nuclear applications. This is a management level position.
In this role, you will provide technical leadership for fuel assembly design programs, oversee and execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) activities, guide engineering execution from concept through qualification, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet regulatory and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical and nuclear engineers.
- Oversee mechanical design and FEA activities for nuclear fuel assembly products and components.
- Drive technical excellence, engineering quality, and project execution.
- Review design calculations, analyses, and technical documentation.
- Support customer interactions and strategic engineering initiatives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline.
- Significant experience in mechanical design and FEA (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Experience with nuclear fuel assemblies, nuclear fuel components, reactor internals, or related nuclear systems.
- Demonstrated leadership potential.
- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, engineering analysis, and regulated engineering environment.
