- Develop Capability – Identify, develop, implement, validate, maintain, and continuously improve capability, capital (equipment & tooling) and manufacturing technology which are capable of meeting and continue to meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time. Capture, analyze and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes.
- Integrate Capability Acquisition and Product Introduction activities, buying off new capabilities and methods of manufacture for new parts/assemblies, ensuring new capabilities/methods are at the required level of readiness for production application.
- Plan and manage activities including schedule, resources, and costs, gaining buy-off and communicating current status to relevant stakeholders ensuring issues and risks are resolved to meet project timescales.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant company, legislative and technical policies and standards including RRMS, Export Control, Intellectual Property, Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm program.
- Work with the Manufacturing Engineering Commodity Leaders and Manufacturing Process Owners to drive manufacturing processes towards identified consistent best practice. Operate beneficial relationships with AxRCs, partners, and suppliers to enable delivery of objectives.
- Work with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems are understood and accounted for as required. Capture and utilize lessons learned. Identify, document, and share best practice, including by participation in relevant Communities of Practice.
- Associate’s Degree with 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Master’s/Ph.D.
- In lieu of a degree, 9+ years in manufacturing engineering
- Must be either a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident
