Design Equipment Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical equipment and fabricated components used in commercial and industrial systems.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications for fabrication and production.
• Collaborate with project managers, fabrication teams, and field personnel to ensure equipment designs meet project requirements.
• Review project specifications and customer requirements to develop appropriate equipment solutions.
• Support fabrication and production teams during the build process to ensure designs are executed correctly.
• Assist with design modifications and problem-solving when production or installation challenges arise.
• Maintain accurate design documentation and engineering records.
• Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and company quality expectations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• Experience with mechanical design, equipment design, or industrial systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar design platforms.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and equipment layout.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, fabrication, and field teams.

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally visit fabrication or production areas.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when needed.
• Ability to work in both office and shop environments.
• Up to 40% travel.
