Job Overview
We’re looking to hire an Electro‑Mechanical Engineer – Process Specialist based in West Lebanon, NH. You will design and develop advanced automated cutting and marking systems and their peripheral equipment, integrating system electronics, process controls, consumable design, and machine intelligence.
Responsibilities- Drive the technical design and development of automated cutting and marking systems, including plasma, oxy‑fuel, laser, waterjet, printing, and drilling technologies.
- Develop product documentation such as technical specifications, system designs, cost‑estimate models, and development schedule inputs.
- Create robust test processes, analyze results, and evaluate mechanical designs for performance and reliability.
- Present test results, analyses, and design concepts verbally and in writing to cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Support construction and validation of prototypes, bringing ideas from concept to reality.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver new product designs.
- Provide expert product application support, live demonstrations, and process analysis to end‑users.
- Partner with field service engineers for application support, demonstrations, and process optimization.
- Contribute to technical training programs and materials for customers and colleagues.
- Respond promptly and professionally to technical inquiries from internal teams.
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience, including electro‑mechanical systems.
- Proven troubleshooting of large, complex electro‑mechanical machines.
- Strong technical and analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of metal cutting/processing processes quickly.
- Solid computer literacy and familiarity with engineering software tools.
- Experience with Solid Works CAD modeling and industrial product development.
- Hands‑on electromechanical prototype build capabilities.
- Experience with microcontrollers and PLCs.
- Familiarity with statistical design of experiments (DOE).
- Background in scientific experimentation and mechanical integrity testing.
- Ability to excel in a team dynamic and work independently.
- Knowledge of various communication protocols.
- Experience with laser operation and safety.
- Familiarity with heavy industrial facilities, equipment, and safety protocols.
