Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for permanent employment
At iMedical Healthcare Solutions, we refurbish, and service hospital beds, stretchers, and patient transport equipment used by healthcare providers across North America. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and making a measurable impact on the factory floor. This isn't a role where you'll spend your day updating spreadsheets or maintaining the status quo.
You'll work alongside Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to launch new products, improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and increase production efficiency. Your ideas will move quickly from concept to implementation. If you're energized by continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and building better ways to manufacture quality products, we'd like to meet you.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Design efficient production workflows, manufacturing layouts, and assembly processes.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity, improve quality, and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and work directly with production teams to implement practical solutions.
- Establish labor standards, process cycle times, and manufacturing best practices.
- Analyze production data using statistical methods to improve process capability and product consistency.
- Support new product introductions from engineering through production.
- Collaborate with suppliers and participate in make-versus-buy evaluations.
- Partner with Quality to develop process documentation, control plans, inspection criteria, and process validation activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or process engineering role.
- Experience creating manufacturing documentation including BOMs, routings, and work instructions.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly, machining, welding, fabrication, plastics, electronics, or similar production environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
- CAD/CAM software
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Work on products that directly support hospitals and improve patient care.
- Join a growing company where your work has immediate visibility and impact.
- Collaborate with experienced leaders in engineering and operations.
- Take ownership of meaningful projects rather than a narrow slice of the manufacturing process.
- Help shape manufacturing processes as new products are introduced.
- Opportunity for long-term employment and career growth.
If you're looking for an engineering role where you can solve real manufacturing challenges, influence how products are built, and make a visible difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
