Mechanical EIT​/Coordinator

HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group is looking for a Mechanical Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) to support our integrated facility and infrastructure design team. This role enables you to work on a variety of projects—ranging from healthcare and science facilities to commercial real‑estate and transportation—while developing your design and engineering skills under experienced mentors.

• Conduct analyses to develop mechanical design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications.
• Perform routine engineering assignments with guidance from the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Work on projects with clear objectives and limited variables, ranging from small projects to assisting senior engineers on larger assignments.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, other Mechanical EITs, or technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and equipment selection software).
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee‑owned culture are a must.

• Master’s degree in architectural engineering with mechanical emphasis.
• Experience in healthcare, science & technology, or civic facilities.
• Knowledge of sustainable design/LEED (desired but not required).
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Proficiency in Revit.
