ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER

Mission:
Responsible for electrical engineering conceptual design, development of design, preparation of construction documents, and performance of construction administration on given projects.

• Performance of electrical engineering for assigned projects including, but not limited to, research, engineering calculations and preparation of studies, design documents and construction documents.
• Coordination of electrical system design with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
• Selection of electrical equipment and systems for assigned projects.
• Construction administration duties including, but not limited to, submittal review, responses to Requests for Information and attendance at construction progress meetings.
• Observation of construction progress and preparation of field reports and punch lists.
• Reports to:
  
  Electrical Department Manager / Project Managers

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• 5 – 10 years of demonstrated experience working as a project engineer in the consulting industry.
• Professional Engineer, or must be eligible to sit for Principles of Practice examination and obtain professional engineering license within two years.
• Self‑motivated and excited about new challenges.
• Able to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, team members, manufacturers and contractors.
• Desire to continually learn and develop expertise in the consulting engineering field.
• Collaborative and focused on client satisfaction, project quality and performance.

• Design experience under experienced lead electrical engineers and project managers.
• Encouragement and support to obtain continuing education and/or relevant industry credentials.
• Project management opportunities commensurate with experience.
