Control Engineer

Description

Insight Global is seeking a Controls Engineer to support a large HVAC focused client on a pharmaceutical project operating within an FDA-regulated environment. This individual will join a collaborative engineering team responsible for developing, programming, and deploying control systems that support critical HVAC infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or related), or equivalent hands‑on experience with PLC programming
• Experience programming PLCs (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Rockwell, Ladder Logic) or experience working within a Building Automation System (BAS) environment for HVAC applications
• Ability to read, interpret, and modify engineering drawings, electrical schematics, or mechanical diagrams
• Exposure to working with physical hardware, instrumentation, or controls systems (hands‑on or academic/lab experience)
• Local to the Indianapolis/Castleton area and able to work onsite

• Familiarity with HVAC systems, equipment, or building automation concepts
• Experience working in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other compliance‑driven industries
• Exposure to commissioning, system startup, or field support activities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes and documentation requirements

$35/hour to $55/hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
