We are seeking a Reliability & Test Engineer to support our customer in Crane, Indiana. In this role, you will support the design, integration, testing, evaluation, and sustainment of Built-In Test (BIT) and Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) capabilities for Electronic Warfare systems and related test infrastructure. This position supports system engineering, software-based test and evaluation, reliability and maintainability analysis, troubleshooting, and technical documentation activities across the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will help ensure BIT capabilities are effective, supportable, testable, and aligned to system requirements by analyzing system behavior, evaluating failures and false rejects, supporting developmental and operational test activities, and recommending corrective actions to improve system performance and maintainability. The role also supports documentation, root-cause analysis, FRACAS inputs, and technical assessments that improve readiness and reduce lifecycle risk.

This role requires in-person support.

  • Support the design, development, integration, and evaluation of BIT/BITE functions for Electronic Warfare systems, subsystems, and test assets.
  • Analyze system requirements, hardware/software interfaces, and operational concepts to ensure BIT capability supports system performance, reliability, maintainability, and supportability objectives.
  • Support laboratory and field testing of systems and components, including troubleshooting, deficiency investigation, test execution, and review of test results.
  • Evaluate BIT-detectable failure modes and support Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) activities, including assessment of failure indication to operators and maintainers.
  • Analyze BIT anomalies, failures, false rejection data, and maintenance/test data to identify trends, isolate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support reliability growth testing, maintainability demonstrations, ESS, qualification testing, and PRAT activities involving functional testing and fault analysis.
  • Assist with software and firmware test activities related to BIT implementation, including requirements traceability, test procedure development, IV&V support, regression analysis, and documentation of discrepancies.
  • Contribute to system integration efforts, including interface analysis, technical assessments, configuration changes, and review of ECPs for impact on performance and maintainability.
  • Prepare and maintain technical work products such as test plans, procedures, reports, technical feedback, engineering recommendations, and other customer-required documentation.
  • Support logistics and design-interface assessments involving BIT/BITE, accessibility, maintainability, and overall supportability.
  • Collaborate with Government engineers, OEMs, software developers, test teams, logisticians, and maintainers in secure laboratory and operational environments.
