As a Senior Component Design Engineer for gas turbine Fan, Compressor, and Rotative Systems you will be responsible for the on‑time delivery and quality of Cold End Design. This includes creating component definition artefacts (documents, models, and specifications) that meet system and sub‑system requirements and partnering with other Fan and Compressor Design personnel to integrate technical solutions. The role requires a highly motivated, committed individual capable of adapting and driving teams to accomplish stretch goals, advancing new technologies, and embracing innovative ways of working to yield impactful results.
Whatyou will be doing
- Lead a cross‑functional team to design world‑class, cutting‑edge turbo machinery components
- Deliver models, definitions, and analyses of turbo machinery components and interfacing metallic hardware
- Perform trade studies to optimize design solutions and document design processes per standard work practices
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to implement Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and disposition non‑confirming hardware
- Prepare for and lead technical design reviews to present design solutions to all required stakeholders
- Lead a cross‑functional team to support design, integration, planning, and execution of verification activities, including analyses, rig and engine testing of turbo machinery component solutions

Basic Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of experience, OR
- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 3+ years of experience, OR
- PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Good interpersonal skills, effective team working, and problem‑resolution ability
- Design or manufacturing experience with composite materials and/or technical ceramics
- Experience with component design methods, tools, and practices including CAD (NX Unigraphics or equivalent), Teamcenter, Metaphase PDM, and Systems Engineering tools
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stacks
- New product introduction (NPI) project or equivalent product design, verification, and certification experience
- High integrity, strong work ethic, and a customer focus
