Stantec – Project Manager (Mission Critical Data Center Projects)
Stantec is seeking a Project Manager focused on Mission Critical Data Center projects within our Community Development Group. The candidate will oversee project design, construction administration, and civil site design services for private data center projects across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Work with multidisciplinary teams to undertake site development projects related to planning, design, and engineering, serving private developers, general contractors, and architects.
- Coordinate and lead project teams focused on engineering and construction related services.
- Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
- Review, markup, and coordinate the delivery of documentation in various project phases, including site plans, utility plans, grading plans, stormwater systems, and other components.
- Assist the design team in the creation of sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
- Participate in proposal development, interviews, and presentations.
- Market and support client growth throughout North America.
- Utilize technologies in development of three‑dimensional models of civil systems and provide markups for junior engineers/designers.
- Develop and manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers.
- Assist in the development of new standards and processes for the team.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the land development process and effectively communicate ideas to others.
- Provide proactive, solution‑oriented support within a cooperative team environment.
- Adapt flexibly to dynamic project needs on tight timelines and fast‑paced schedules.
- Perform duties with virtual coordination as the team is officed across various geographic regions.
- Ensure client and sub‑consultant needs are met in a timely and effective manner.

- Strong understanding of all phases of project document production.
- Strong knowledge of civil systems, methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of project document production.
- Checks the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule.
- Advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Effective communicator and able to work on and lead teams.
- Efficient project management of multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant design software.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Planning, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience.
- Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.
- Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas – $90,900.00 – $ Annually
- Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas – $ – $ Annually
