Test Stand Engineer
Working pattern:
Onsite 9/80. Working location:
Indianapolis, IN.
- Support the design and definition of new test rigs for various test stands, laboratories, and engine programs.
- Set up, install, and operate test rigs in accordance with local standards.
- Create data collection profiles and conduct safe operation of the rigs while collecting data.
- Perform raw data interrogation and troubleshoot to resolve issues.
- Repair and maintain test stand and laboratory spaces, ensuring preservation of equipment.
- Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements and uphold company safety principles.
- Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 3+ years experience, OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 1+ year experience, OR
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, OR JD/PhD.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Preferred Requirements:
- Strong analytical, mechanical, and electronics troubleshooting skills.
- Fundamental understanding of data acquisition and instrumentation functionality.
- Effective written and oral communication for diverse audiences.
- Strong documentation and procedural improvement skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW, hydraulic control equipment, fundamental mechanical or material testing, design of experiments, and control of variables.
- Experience with gas turbine engines and gas turbine engine hardware.
- Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) licence preferred.
- Flexibility to adjust job assignments based on priority and program demands.
