Job Description

Define, install, and operate test rigs on gas turbine engine hardware and subsystems in accordance with local standards.

What you will be doing
  • Support the design and definition of new test rigs. Test rigs will vary in complexity and application across multiple test stands, laboratories, and engine programs.
  • Responsible for setup and installation of test rigs.
  • Responsible for creating data collection profiles.
  • Responsible for safe operation of test rigs and data collection.
  • Responsible for raw data interrogation and troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for repair and maintenance of test stand and laboratory spaces, including preservation.

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 3+ years experience OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 1+ year of experience OR
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology OR
  • JD/PhD
  • Must be a US citizen to be considered for this role.
Preferred Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated mechanical and electronics troubleshooting experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of data acquisition and instrumentation functionality.
  • Demonstrate written and oral communication to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong documentation skills and procedural improvement & compliance.
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Experience with National Instruments Lab View.
  • Experience with hydraulic control equipment.
  • Experience with fundamental mechanical or material testing.
  • Experience with design of experiments and control of variables.
  • Experience with gas turbine engines, and gas turbine engine hardware.
  • Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) license would be preferred.
  • Flexibility to adjust job assignments depending on priority and program demands.
