Senior Stress and Lifing Engineer

Full-time, Indianapolis, IN / Hybrid – 3 office days per week.

• Lead and perform advanced mechanical integrity, stress, and lifing assessments using finite element analysis and other numerical modeling techniques.
• Mentor and train junior analysts, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development within the team.
• Conduct peer reviews of analysis projects, ensuring high standards of technical quality and rigor.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for mechanical integrity matters, facilitating effective communication and collaboration with customers and cross‑functional teams.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders, clearly communicating complex analysis results and recommendations.
• Actively participate in the global engineering community, sharing subject‑matter expertise and best practices across the organization.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, driving enhancements to tools, processes, and methods both within the team and across the wider function.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in mechanical design or manufacturing engineering.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience in mechanical design or manufacturing engineering.
• PhD in Engineering.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Requirements:

• 8 or more years of hands‑on experience in conducting mechanical integrity, stress, and lifing assessments using finite element analysis and other numerical models.
• Ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters.
• Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks.
• Membership in a relevant professional body appropriate to the region.
• Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization.

• Annual salary: $114,400 – $185,900.
