What You'll Do

• Prepare detailed estimates and customer quotations for custom automation, tooling, fixtures, and work holding projects.
• Review RFQs, statements of work, engineering drawings, and customer specifications to develop accurate project costs.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, designers, and shop personnel to develop practical manufacturing concepts.
• Communicate with customers to clarify project requirements and ensure complete project scope.
• Obtain supplier pricing and lead times for purchased components.
• Analyze labor, material, machining, and manufacturing costs to develop competitive proposals.
• Maintain historical cost data and stay current on manufacturing technologies that improve project value.
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting customer deadlines.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of manufacturing, tooling, engineering, purchasing, planning, or estimating experience.
• Experience estimating custom automation equipment, fixtures, tooling, or work holding solutions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems.
• Experience with Solid Works 3D CAD and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Engineering degree preferred but not required with relevant industry experience.
