Duties

You will have delegated approval signature authority responsibilities for batteries and Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS) from the NAVSEA Technical Warrant Holder (TWH) for Batteries and Battery Monitoring Systems.

You will conduct technical analyses, develop technical products and prepare related technical correspondence for the Ships; reviewing and providing recommendations all technical products.

You will interface with all personnel within NAVSEA, NAVSEA field activities, private shipyards, and associated contractors on the behalf of the TWH.

You will be responsible for the adjudication of requests for clarification, interpretation, or assistance; non-conformance, deviation, waivers, departures from specifications, and applicable Naval Advisories.

You will be responsible for building national leadership in Undersea Power and Energy Systems, develop strategic plans, develop engineering and tasking, assign programmatic tasking, and develop programmatic cost estimates and statements of work.

This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 641, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the

Functional Area

and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established time frames.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.

Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading the design, development, and testing of undersea power or energy systems to include integrating innovative concepts or capabilities to support the technological advancement of the Naval fleet.
