Engineering Technician
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an Engineering Technician who applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve problems by interpreting U.S. Army, vendor manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with electronic repair practices, test equipment, tools, processes, and procedures. Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher level technician, work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. May provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the "AIRBORNE" family of Electro-Optical Sensor Systems to include but not limited: DAS-1, DAS-3, DAS-4, MX10, MX15, and MX20 (3.14). Technical support includes testing, repair, screening, evaluation, demilitarization, and disposal.
- Provide comprehensive technical documentation support for the "AIRBORNE" family of Electro-Optical Sensor Systems, encompassing but not limited to: DAS-1, DAS-3, DAS-4, CSP, MX10, MX15, and MX20. This support shall include modification, validation & verification, procedure development & review.
- Laboratory personnel may be required to perform auxiliary duties to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Assist with the analysis of production costs and manufacturing problems; review production changes, waivers, and deviations; attend quality assurance audits and surveys; and assist in the identification of problems and progress concerning production, costs, and quality assurance.
- Assist with the review of technical specifications for accuracy in support of procurements in accordance with GFI.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
- Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent military experience.
- Experience performing diagnostics, parts replacement, software reloading, testing and repair action reporting for Electro-Optic Systems.
- Experience in reviewing, updating, validating test plans, maintenance procedures and forms.
- Familiar with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Hazard Communication (HAZCOM), Global Harmonized System Awareness Training prior to handling Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), and Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) Awareness and Prevention Training.
Desired:
- Current Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is desired.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in a production laboratory, military electronics repair activity or manufacturing setting; laser and/or optics experience preferred.

Pay Range:
This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI's government contract for the work location.
Minimum Required Hourly Wage: $36.80
