Senior Project Manager

LHH is seeking a Senior Project Manager with Civil Engineering experience for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a large and well-respected civil engineering firm located in Indianapolis, IN. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic team and to join an industry leader where you will assist with a variety of new and exciting construction projects with an emphasis on land development across various sectors (primarily commercial).

The compensation is commensurate to experience and ranges between $,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive medical insurance options, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan.

* This is a hybrid position that requires onsite work in Indianapolis, IN so you must live within driving distance. Relocation packages and sign-on bonuses are offered if you need to relocate closer to the office location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage civil design projects, including commercial, healthcare, educational, residential, and retail developments.
• Oversee all project stages, from initial layouts to final engineering designs.
• Collaborate with the Civil Engineers to survey new construction sites, evaluate existing structures for potential upgrades, and oversee site grading, storm sewer design, and site utility infrastructure.
• Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
• Provide technical expertise in Civil 3D and other relevant software.
• Document processes and present project progress updates to senior managers and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is highly preferred
• Registered Professional Engineer License preferred; candidates without registration but with significant experience will also be considered.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
• Must have proven experience in site development, grading, drainage, and/or utility design
• Extensive project management experience, including managing client relationships and leading project teams
• Must be proficient at using Auto Desk Civil 3D and/or Revit/BIM
• Must have knowledge of current civil engineering and construction specifications, standards, and codes
• Must possess strong time-management and organizational skills
• While not often, you must be available to perform occasional site visits or attend in-person client meeting when necessary (all travel would be local to the office and fully reimbursed)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
