Schmidt Associates is looking for a Controls Systems Engineer to join our team to support the optimization of building systems for our clients.
Responsibilities:- Assessing controls system operation for clients on site and remotely via internet connection.
- Providing on-going optimization services
- Identifying optimization opportunities
- Working with energy engineers to develop savings calculations
- Observing and reviewing system and control installation processes for design compliance.
- Leading a process upon occupancy to assure proper system operation by partnering with controls contractors, mechanical contractors and construction managers.
- Assisting the Owner during their operation training phase.
- Reviewing construction submittals as they relate to engineering systems and control applications.
- Strong competency in engineering building systems operation and control applications.
- Ability to coordinate and integrate system control applications into the firm’s facility design process.
- Work with and inform owners on operation and optimization techniques for their systems.
- Skills in implementation of quality procedures are necessary.
- Ability to meet project deliverables and deadlines.
Education:
- Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license from the State of Indiana is preferred but not required
