Reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement for plastics machinery and facility support systems

Role snapshot

Own preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for injection/blow molding machines, automation cells, temperature control units, mold controllers, material handling equipment, air compressors, and chillers.

Pinpoint and resolve faults across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and controls domains: PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, servo drives, vision, robotics, sequencing, sensors, circuit boards, temperature controls, and motor protection devices.

Rebuild/refresh auxiliary subsystems (e.g., pumps, vacuum, heat exchangers) to OEM or better performance.

Execute and support installations, modifications, validations, and optimizations—robots, EOATs, vision hardware, sensors, controls components, cabling, and more.

Provide day-to-day leadership: prioritize work, align labor, communicate equipment status to operations, and act as the technical lead during complex troubleshooting.

Must-haves

Associate degree or equivalent technical training and 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

Advanced multi-disciplinary knowledge (mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic/automation/industrial controls).Fluency reading electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, plus product drawings and OEM manuals.

Demonstrated leadership coordinating maintenance programs and elevating team performance.

Safety-forward approach, strong problem-solving, clear communication, and proficiency with tools, diagnostic gear, and precision measurement instruments.

Great-to-haves

Root cause analysis and robust corrective actions; experience driving CI for reliability, uptime, and product quality.

Background with equipment installs/commissioning, SAT, qualifications/validations, decommissioning, CMMS, spare parts, vendor engagement, and procurement.

Plastics/regulated manufacturing familiarity: injection molding, blow molding, robotics, industrial networking, machine controls, and quality systems.

Physical requirement

Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
