BASIC FUNCTION:

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Surveillance Technician is responsible for technical work in installing, maintaining, repairing and training in the use of technical investigative/surveillance equipment. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the company’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must have ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
  • Position is a 24/7 on-call status position.
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention for detail.
  • Must work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation, drug screening, and license application.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age upon employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Installs, operates, maintains and repairs technical investigative/surveillance equipment.
  • Researches, evaluates, makes recommendations and procedures or provides expertise in the procurement of technical investigative equipment.
  • Documents and maintains detailed records.
  • Schedules and/or coordinates services for repairs, etc.
  • Responds to 24-hour, seven days per week emergency call-outs to perform emergency equipment repairs.
  • Tests and evaluates new equipment to ensure it meets the parameters required.
  • Catalogs and inventories equipment.
  • Maintains knowledge of federal and state laws governing the use of the equipment.
  • Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management.
  • Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
  • Has significant responsibility for working with the onsite customers and providing database support to internal staff.
  • Coordinates and conducts meetings, initiates reports and analyzes output to resolve database exceptions and errors.
  • Performs other duties as reasonably requested by Management.
