The Engineer Intern is a temporary position that offers students real-world experience, working closely with seasoned staff engineers on various projects and tasks. This hands‑on opportunity will allow you to apply classroom theory to practical scenarios, enhance your skills, and make a meaningful impact. This is an on‑site position located in any of our offices in Indianapolis, IN;
Denver, CO;
Jacksonville, FL;
Gainesville, FL; or Washington, DC.
- Collaborate with engineers to analyze, design, and optimize structures for diverse projects.
- Assist in performing structural calculations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Contribute to CAD modeling, drafting, and preparing shop documents.
- Support the team in problem‑solving and proposing innovative solutions to engineering dilemmas.
- Attend project meetings, workshops, and training sessions to broaden your knowledge base.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for tackling intricate engineering problems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Acurious mindset and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
