Electrical Designer
The Electrical Designer is responsible for supporting the development and execution of electrical systems and control panel designs for our manufacturing operations. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for creating electrical design packages, selecting components, preparing detailed schematics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is carried through to production.
Responsibilities
- Create designs specific to low voltage switch gear assemblies/systems, replacement breakers, and related equipment.
- Work under the supervision of electrical engineers to develop electrical schematics, panel layout, and wiring diagrams that meet customer, manufacturing, regulatory, and project requirements.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists, and terminal block drawings.
- Follow and develop standard design processes and documentation to improve quality and efficiency in engineering design.
- Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and revise existing designs to improve manufacturability, cost, or performance.
- Maintain proper version control and documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
Education and Experience
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design Technology, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in electrical drafting or design, preferably in switch gear or related industry.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
- Hands-on experience in panel building and wiring.
- Experience in the design of electrical switch gear, UL891, and UL1558.
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening.
