Position Summary:

We are seeking a self-directed and technically strong Process Industrialization Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in scaling up an existing R&D process developed at our California site and transitioning it to full-scale production at our Indianapolis site. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Capability Acquisition, Automation, and Digital Engineering to enable robust, efficient, and scalable manufacturing solutions.

What you will be doing:

This will involve translating research-level methods into a stable, high-throughput operation by working closely with the Capability Acquisition, Automation, and Digital teams. You'll play a key role in process optimization, equipment integration, and technical problem-solving to ensure a smooth and efficient transition to large-scale manufacturing.

This role requires a high level of independence, initiative, and cross-functional collaboration.

With this attractive role, you will have an opportunity to work on the following:
  • Learn and understand the existing R&D process developed at our HTC site.
  • Serve as the process owner during the industrialization phase, ensuring the core principles and quality of the original process are maintained during scale-up.
  • Collaborate with the Capability Acquisition, Automation, and Digital teams to develop and implement scalable manufacturing solutions.
  • Support process optimization, documentation, and validation to ensure repeatability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing throughput, cost, and reliability.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with scaling.
  • Work cross-functionally to integrate automation and digital tools into the production process.
  • Maintain a self-directed approach to problem-solving and project execution with minimal supervision.
  • Act as a liaison between the R&D and production teams to ensure effective knowledge transfer and alignment.
