Anticipated Time Commitment: approximately 25 - 30 hours per week

The Indiana Fever is seeking a highly motivated game day associate to join our Basketball Communications team for the 2026 WNBA season. The overall focus will be on assisting the department with game day logistics, credentialing and media operations, as well as research and record-keeping, occasional media events and other department duties. If you are eager to break into the sports media industry and have a passion for women’s basketball, this position could be a great fit!

The Indiana Fever Basketball Communications Game Day Associate starts in late April and ends at the conclusion of the Fever season. Due to the game and event schedule, the Indiana Fever Basketball Communications Game Day Associate must have the availability to work a flexible schedule and all home games, which includes evenings and weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with creation of written materials, such as press releases, game recaps and media advisories.
  • Assist in compiling Fever statistical research, recordkeeping and other media resource materials.
  • Assist AVP of Basketball Communications and PR Manager with coordination of game day interviews, quote transcriptions, and interview setup and fulfillment.
  • Play an integral role in the execution of game day media operations, including game credentialing, in-game responsibilities and acting as a liaison for media and visiting PR teams.
  • Positively represent the Indiana Fever brand and Communications department by creating a welcoming and supportive experience in all media interactions.
  • Support the department, as needed, with additional non-game day events and/or remote game day coverage of away games.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with media monitoring platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility, openness, and a positive attitude when balancing multiple projects, assignments, tasks, and shifting priorities.
  • High-level of professionalism and strong communications skills, as position requires regular interaction with professional athletes and media members.
  • Ability to work long and unusual hours during home games and assistance with some road games.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
