We are seeking an Event Set-Up Crew member to support event and conference activities at the Statehouse and Conference Center. This role involves setting up and breaking down event spaces, operating audio/visual equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring event areas are clean, organized, and ready for use.

• Set up and operate audio/visual equipment, including microphones, speakers, mixers, monitors, podiums, cabling, and live-streaming equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic sound and AV equipment issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Review event worksheets and prepare rooms according to event requirements.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment using carts as needed.
• Ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and presentable before and after events.
• Reset rooms quickly between events, particularly during Legislative Session.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory.
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors, agencies, and event participants.
• Lead or assist other staff/interns when needed and support training of new team members.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during assigned weekend events.

• Hands-on knowledge of audio/visual and sound equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and work independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to changing schedules.
• Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift and move furniture and event equipment.
• Must be available to work weekends with limited advance notice, based on event schedules
