Job Details

We are seeking a Controller to join our Accounting and Finance team. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, managing the accounting team, and contributing to the strategic planning of the company. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and finance, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for driving financial success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• CPA, CMA, or MBA (preferred).
• 7+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience (required).
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills; experience with Sage is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
