An Insurance Operations Associate specializes in client service and processing risk products and navigating the underwriting process, ensuring the maintenance of an efficient and compliant office, allowing the financial advisor to focus on building client relationships.
The insurance operations associate is a liaison between the office, financial advisor, and clients.
- Work with prospects/clients to complete insurance applications and arrange medical, paramedical, and any exams necessary for underwriting
- Preparing and processing all paperwork needed for investment/advisory accounts
- Prepare and distribute Investment Services related forms to prospects and existing clients
- Prepare and review insurance/annuity applications, conversions, and policy changes for completeness and accuracy
- Prepare and review NMIS forms for completeness
- Arrange medical, paramedical, and any exams necessary for underwriting
- Maintain current client information for all insurance product lines
- Process insurance premium payments through investment fund management as needed
- Prepare insurance paperwork for Advisors and the Planning Team that will be needed for client meetings
- Process incoming insurance service requests from clients: address changes, bank change information, loan requests, ISA service inquiries, etc.
- Maintaining an efficient system for account follow-ups and service requirements
- Indiana Life and Health Insurance License preferred or obtainable within six months of hire date
- Passionate and highly motivated self-starter
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients
- Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work both independently and in a team
