Processor I – Retirement Benefits

Location:Downtown Indianapolis, IN (parking available)
Employment Type: Full-Time, 1st Shift 8:00a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Processor I to support plan participants by accurately processing benefit activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, values accuracy and confidentiality, and wants to build expertise in benefit administration.

As a Processor I, you’ll work closely with the Benefits team to review accounts, calculate benefits, and respond to service requests that directly impact members’ financial futures.

What You’ll Do
  • Review accounts across all applicable funds
  • Process initial benefit calculations and recalculations
  • Set up benefit recipients within internal processing systems
  • Handle basic service credit inquiries
  • Process plan-to-plan service transfers
  • Complete initial death reviews and terminate accounts as required
  • Prepare monthly disability and continuing-eligibility correspondence
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Benefits Supervisor
What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred

  • Background or experience in pension or retirement plan administration
