AboutThe Job
Performance Validation is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join our team in Indianapolis. The Senior Accountant reports directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities- Understand and apply GAAP based accounting
- Process/review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Understand billing and prepare as needed. Responsible to see all billing accomplished bi-monthly.
- Record and post journal entries as appropriate
- Prepare financial statements and other ad-hoc reporting
- Ensure propriety of month-end financial closings in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with financial forecasting of cash flows, net income, capital, and balance sheet trends
- Collaborate with CFO and Division Directors to summarize the annual budget
- Oversee team members’ expense reporting for accuracy
- Provide support for the yearly valuation, 401k audit and any external audit as needed
- Responsible for all reconciliations including business operating accounts, wealth management accounts, and company credit card
- Assist C Suite with monthly reporting, creating graphs on the financial trends
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred) or finance
- 4+ years of experience
- Knowledge and principles of GAAP based financial accounting
- Solid understanding of fixed price billing and AIA billing
- Proficient with accounting software, Microsoft Office Excel, CSV uploads, spreadsheets, pivot tables, and Adobe Acrobat
- Time management and problem-solving skills
- Organized with good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Coordinate tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people
