Responsibilities- Prospect lending opportunities, handling loan relationships with aggregate exposure between $1MM and $30MM.
- Develop relationships within the niche markets served by Oak Street Funding through business development activities such as direct‑to‑market outbound calls and building a circle of influence to drive referrals.
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to qualify lending opportunities and understand clients' needs.
- Prepare and present initial loan structures to the loan committee, including cash flow analysis and articulation of the applicant’s financial strength.
- Prepare and present term sheets, articulating risk profile and loan structure.
- Negotiate loan terms and promote cross‑sell of other banking products.
- Travel as required for onsite visits with prospects and clients, due diligence trips, and representation at industry events.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Work directly with the deal team – Director of Underwriting, Chief Counsel, and Account Managers – to facilitate a positive client experience from onboarding through diligence and funding.
- 5+ years of relationship‑based client procurement and account management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience reviewing credit applications, personal financial statements, credit reports, and business financial statements.
- Understanding of various corporate structures and experience with complex mid‑market commercial loans.
- Strong PC skills.
- Demonstrated sales and negotiation experience.
- College degree required.
- Previous commercial lending, private or business banking experience (5+ years).
- Credit training and underwriting fundamentals experience, including financial analysis.
- Navigate in‑depth term sheet negotiations with large prospects.
- Review and analyze complex credit applications, credit reports, and business financial statements.
- Present complex, large transactions to OSF management.
- Work independently with strong time‑management and organizational skills.
- Prioritize work and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Typical office setting including desk/computer work.
- Travel required, including onsite visits with prospects and clients, due diligence trips, and representation at industry events.
- The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, as well as all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures.
- Includes adherence to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, OFAC, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements, as well as all other lending and deposit compliance requirements.
Pay range: $94,000/yearly – $112,000/yearly.
