Position: Accounts Receivable Analyst (Billing)
Location: Indianapolis

Job Description

As an Analyst – Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible for generating, reviewing, and issuing customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner. You will maintain and update billing records using applicable systems, ensuring charges are correct and properly documented. You will research and resolve routine billing discrepancies and prepare standard reports related to billing status, exceptions, or unresolved issues.

Responsibilities
  • Manages daily invoices; reviews incoming receipts and remittance advices to determine application to accounts receivable system and handles exceptions appropriately.
  • Posts and applies receipts (checks, credit card, ACH and wire) to customer accounts via data processing functions in various systems (Quick Books, , Microsoft Dynamics/DAX).
  • Performs extensive research, investigation, analysis, escalation and resolution of customer invoicing issues to ensure all cash and payments are completed.
  • Prepares required entries and supporting details when a customer takes a miscellaneous deduction.
  • Adheres to department policies and procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding client data, documents and procedures.
  • Interfaces with customers, financial services team members, and branches to determine appropriate receipt remittance application.
  • Assists in resolving unidentified payments with financial services team and customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required;
    Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 1 year of Microsoft Office products (Outlook and Excel) experience is required; 3 years preferred.
  • 1 year of Quick Books, , DAX, or other ERP accounts receivable module experience, specifically cash application, is preferred.
  • 1 year of direct customer billing experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of accounts receivable is preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm and work in an intense productivity environment with tight deadlines is preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed (including mandatory overtime at statement cutoff dates and month‑end) is preferred.
  • Effective use of a 10‑key calculator or numeric keypad for data entry is preferred.
  • Strong oral communication skills are required.
  • PC Windows experience is required.
  • Excel experience is required (V‑lookup and pivot table functions preferred).
  • Customer service orientation is required.
  • Team player is required.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision is required.
Compensation Details

$23.10 – $28.88 per hour. This amount is a reasonable estimate; offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and shift. Eligible employees may also receive a bonus or sales incentive plan subject to applicable plan documents.
