The Accountant is responsible for the preparation and completion of all assigned month end/ year end closing schedules for YOGI, Indiana Alliance, and the Foundation. This role is responsible for generating/creating financial reports from the various software programs of the Organization. This position will also be responsible for all cash management for the Organization.

Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely completion.
  • Analyze financial trends and reconciliation issues, recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Manage grant tracking and financial reporting, serving as the primary point of contact for grant-related accounting questions and compliance.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable to support accurate financial reporting and cash flow.
  • Oversee organizational cash management, including bank activity review, check payments, deposits, and accurate recording in the accounting system.
  • Support operational accounting reviews by scheduling, researching, analyzing transactions, and improving system processes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive financial and medical information, maintaining compliance with HIPAA and third-party reimbursement requirements.
  • Provide high-quality, timely service to members, staff, and partners while collaborating across departments to resolve issues and improve workflows.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting preferred
  • This position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • Proficiency in data entry and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks
