Role Description

The Relationship Banker is a full-time, on-site position located in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for providing personalized banking services to consumer and business customers, including opening accounts, processing transactions, and addressing inquiries in a professional and timely manner. The Relationship Banker actively builds and maintains customer relationships, identifies financial needs, and recommends appropriate bank products and services, such as deposits, loans, and digital banking solutions.

Daily activities include conducting needs-based conversations, assisting with loan applications, resolving service issues, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues to support branch goals, contributing to community-focused initiatives, and promoting Woodforest’s commitment to relationship banking.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Relationship Building skills, with the ability to develop trust, foster long-term customer connections, and engage in consultative conversations.
  • Candidates should possess experience in Financial Services and Finance, including basic knowledge of banking products, deposits, and financial solutions for consumer and business clients.
  • Candidates should possess a high level of Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, professionalism, conflict resolution, and clear communication.
  • Candidates should possess familiarity with Loans, including assisting with applications, explaining loan terms, and supporting customers through the lending process.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include prior retail banking or sales experience, proficiency with branch technology and Microsoft Office, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework or a degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
