The Sr. FP&A Analyst leads the FP&A team in analyzing financial and operational data, forecasting impacts within financial statements, preparing historical financial statements, KPI reporting, and forward‑looking statements for executive‑level reporting. This role also handles ad‑hoc requests from senior leadership concerning financial, operational, and strategic topics.
Key Responsibilities- Key contributor in the annual budgeting process and overall company plan.
- Perform monthly forecasts of the business, including budget reviews and variance analysis.
- Develop periodic reporting on key business performance metrics and analyze both operational and product‑related trends, making recommendations to management on opportunities for improvement.
- Develop ad‑hoc reports on the financial impact of company decisions, communicate key takeaways to senior leadership, and identify opportunities or risks.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements.
- Create and maintain a long‑range strategic forecast to provide financial insight into current growth plans.
- Partner with other departments (IT, operations, marketing, etc.) on financial‑related initiatives and expense‑management tracking.
- Support the field operations team through operational finance activities related to wage planning, sales budgets, and store bonus calculations/payouts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA is a plus.
- 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis and/or accounting.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles; CPA is a plus.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel, capable of complex functions.
- Proficient in MS Office and general ledger packages.
- Exceptional ability to analyze cross‑functional data sets and identify trends or anomalies against expectations.
- Excellent communicator and team player.
- Intellectually curious, eager to understand the impact and “why” of business decisions.
- Enthusiastic about working in a fast‑paced environment and driving change across the company.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
