Job DescriptionThe National Account Strategic Underwriter will provide strategic and analytical underwriting support for national account clients. Responsibilities include financial modeling, risk assessments, and developing multi‑year pricing strategies tailored to large, complex employer groups. The role requires extensive research and collaboration to meet client demands and support growth and retention, and collaborates cross‑functionally to deliver customized solutions aligned with business priorities.
How you will make an impact- Create competitive, financially sound proposals for business growth and renewals.
- Collaborate on RFPs.
- Lead contract customization and negotiations, ensuring accurate financial outcomes and risk mitigation.
- Assist in the technical development of underwriting associates, including monitoring reports and workflow to provide recommendations on productivity and efficiency improvements.
- BA/BS in Finance, Actuarial Science, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years in large group insurance underwriting, actuarial analysis, or strategic finance.
- ASA/FSA, CFA, or CEBS credentials.
- National Accounts experience.
- ASO and/or Self‑funded experience.
- Fully insured and/or stop‑loss experience.
- Financial background and/or consulting experience.
For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary range for this specific position is $103,120 to $177,882:
California, Illinois;
Maryland;
Minnesota, Virginia. The salary offered is based on a number of legitimate, non‑discriminatory factors set by the Company.
