Position Summary:

Enterprise Financial Planning Leadership

  • Own the enterprise-wide financial planning framework, including annual plan, multi-year outlook, budget, and forecast cycles
  • Set strategic direction, governance, and standards for all planning processes
  • Ensure integration of business unit, Actuarial, and Investment inputs into a unified enterprise view
  • Align financial plans with corporate strategy, capital priorities, and risk appetite
  • Deliver forward-looking insights to support executive and Board-level decision making

Strategic Partnership & Executive Advisory

  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Translate operating strategies into financial implications, including profitability, capital, and growth trade-offs
  • Provide thought leadership on scenario planning, stress testing, and long-term financial sustainability
  • Support strategic initiatives including capital allocation, reinsurance strategy, and business mix optimization

FP&A Function Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and scale the FP&A organization, including managers and analysts
  • Establish a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, insight generation, and business partnership
  • Build organizational capability in financial modeling, analytics, and storytelling
  • Oversee talent strategy including succession planning and leadership development

Budgeting & Resource Allocation

  • Provide oversight of the enterprise budget process
  • Set financial targets, guardrails, and investment priorities aligned to strategy
  • Challenge assumptions and ensure resource allocation drives optimal enterprise outcomes
  • Partner with senior leaders to finalize budgets and ensure accountability for results

Financial Integration & Enterprise Economics

  • Own the integration of financial drivers across underwriting, distribution, expenses, Actuarial, and Investments
  • Ensure financial outputs reflect insurance economics, including combined ratio, earnings, surplus, and capital impact
  • Align planning outputs with enterprise KPIs and long-term value creation
  • Guide decision-making in the context of capital constraints and growth objectives

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Oversee enterprise performance management, including monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Ensure delivery of clear, consistent, and executive-level financial narratives
  • Drive insight generation tied to key business drivers, trends, and variances
  • Ensure alignment and consistency in messaging across all stakeholders

Governance, Controls & Process Excellence

  • Establish enterprise-wide planning and reporting governance frameworks
  • Ensure consistency of methodologies, assumptions, and outputs across all planning cycles
  • Drive continuous improvement of tools, systems, and processes to enhance speed, accuracy, and usability
  • Maintain strong control environment and data integrity across financial processes

Cross-Functional Leadership & Alignment

  • Serve as the central financial integration leader across Finance, business units, Actuarial, and Investments
  • Align stakeholders around a coherent financial narrative and enterprise priorities
  • Identify, elevate, and resolve key risks, gaps, and trade-offs
  • Influence decision-making at the highest levels of the organization

Knowledge and Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related field
  • Proven leadership experience managing managers and building high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success influencing executive leadership and driving strategic decisions
  • Strong expertise in enterprise financial modeling, planning processes, and performance management
  • Experience in insurance or financial services strongly preferred
Education
