Financial Analyst
Client: IN-DOH
Location: 2 N. Meridian St. Indianapolis, IN 46204
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of extension)

Financial Analyst Responsibilities- Perform analytical review to support IDOH and program directors, ensuring proper financial requirements, spend, reporting, draws, rebates activities of each grant.
- Provide critical oversight and risk management review of financial activity, working with accountants and deputy controllers on budget controls, procurement, accounting, contracting, and revenue collection for the state financial system.
- Act as the direct contact to Program directors, ensuring success in managing grants, goals, timelines, and providing expertise in reviewing budgetary constraints and purpose.
- Ensure the state financial system is set up and accurately provides controls as directed by federal grant requirements and state policy.
- Support additional federal requirements of reporting, sub‑recipient audits, county support, or state review of federal grant funds initiated by OMB/SBA/MOU to IDOH and state agency MOUs of grant participation and accountabilities.
- Execute project set up requirements, budget, grant and contract amendments, renewals, and submissions.
- Provide guidance to program directors through review and understanding of expectations for each grant and activity projected.
- Awareness of accounting procedures, grant activities posting to the general ledger, requirements of transferring or correcting journals, and posting of wires and deposits.
- Perform reporting and reconciliation procedures for risk management, program support, and federal grant requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge to meet accounting standards, and in reviewing and reporting of grants.
- Apply critical thinking regarding timing expectations and grant percentage requirements with expenses, vendor contracts, rebates, wires, revenue, invoicing, and payments.
- Communicate and intervene to represent and support the programs.
