5+ Years of Manufacturing Accounting / Financial Analysis Experience
Venteon Finance is currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst for a leading automotive manufacturing company located in the North Vernon, IN area
. This position will play an integral role in plant financial operations, with responsibilities spanning cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, inventory accounting, internal controls, and operational analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the Finance Manager and plant operations to provide accurate financial information and analysis that supports business performance and profitability.
Requirements of the Senior Financial Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting, cost accounting, or financial analysis experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst
- Support the Finance Manager in maintaining the plant’s standard costing process, including material, labor, overhead rates, and cost roll updates.
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and other activities associated with the monthly financial close.
- Coordinate and maintain internal financial controls, including compliance with SOX requirements.
- Partner with Inventory and Materials teams to ensure accurate accounting for material transactions, inventory valuation, and physical inventory counts.
- Reconcile perpetual inventory records to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports and analyses for plant management and external reporting requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual operating budgets.
- Perform cost studies, profitability analyses, and financial evaluations of new business opportunities.
- Develop financial and statistical analyses to identify cost reduction and profit improvement opportunities.
- Support internal and external audits and prepare required supporting documentation.
- Track capital project expenditures and ensure proper capitalization in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Partner with operations and other departments to provide accounting guidance and financial support for business decisions.
