Location: Grissom Air Force Base
Duties Help The primary purpose of this position is:
To serve as Chief, Force Management in administering all aspects of the section. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. Additionally, trains Reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. DUTIES: DUTY 1:
Plans, directs, and controls all aspects of the Force Management programs for both Active Guard Reserve (AGR) and unit reservists. Responsible for the development of internal policies and procedures governing administration of the Force Management programs to include:
Officer Performance Reports/Enlisted Performance Reports (OPR/EPR). DUTY 2 :
Serves as advisor to commanders on unit Human Resources (Military) programs. Interprets policy and provides procedural guidance to commanders, supervisors, first sergeants, and staff members regarding Force Management programs. Provides guidance and assistance on unit programs such as Unfavorable Information Files (UIF) and Active Duty sanctuary programs. DUTY 3 :
Provides Human Resources management (Military) advisory services to commanders and staff on all Force Management programs. Analyzes data and makes subsequent determinations regarding personnel matters which may involve or affect ARTs, AGRs, and traditional reservists. Advises supervisors or managers within the wing when actions may affect productivity or mission. DUTY 4 : Administers actions in Automated Reserve Orders Writing System-Reserves {AROWS-R).
Monitors and takes appropriate action to clear military personnel hard-holds for assigned wing personnel. May be required to create orders and modifications for section personnel. DUTY 5 :
Ensures accuracy of Personnel Data System (PDS) and performs functional review of data reliability. Responsible for input of data pertaining to Force Management programs. Reviews daily and weekly transactions registers, HAF purges and reject listings to clear, correct and follow-up on suspended actions and correct mismatched data in the system. May be required to perform Installation Personnel Readiness duties and/or assist as directed.

EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the lower grade, GS-07 level or equivalent. Examples of specialized experience includes:
In-depth knowledge of military personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, instructions, etc., to understand respective programs and converse with functional managers. OR
EDUCATION:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirement is at least 100%.
