What You’ll Do
  • Implement risk-based monitoring processes to ensure sub awardee compliance with state and federal grant requirements.
  • Conduct desk, on site, and virtual reviews of programmatic, fiscal, and reporting activities.
  • Analyze financial documentation to verify allowable costs and identify potential risks.
  • Serve as a finance and administration resource for Division Directors.
  • Monitor sub award spending using People Soft Financials and maintain organized financial records.
  • Review sub awardee data for accuracy and alignment with performance measures.
  • Identify compliance issues and support sub awardees in developing corrective action plans.
  • Provide technical assistance to strengthen grant management, documentation, and reporting.
  • Maintain detailed monitoring records and audit ready documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal program, finance, and data teams to resolve monitoring related issues.
  • Track and verify completion of corrective actions and resolution of findings.
  • Contribute to improving monitoring tools, templates, and procedures.
  • Assist internal staff and sub awardees with audit preparation and responses.

    Duties may evolve or be assigned as needed.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Federal and State laws, policies and procedures as they pertain to the Finance and Programmatic Divisions
  • Some knowledge of business administration practices and procedures and basic accounting.
  • Ability to extend standard procedures and methods and develop new procedures and methods to deal with unprecedented situations.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff and representatives of state, local, and federal agencies.
  • Knowledge of appropriate People Soft Financials modules.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and other Microsoft products.
  • Ability to learn and navigate reporting system such as, but not limited to Red Cap, EUNA, and Amplifund.
  • Ability to apply problem solving techniques to address issues at the State and local level.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with individuals or in group situations.
  • Experience with 4-6 years' program evaluation, quality assurance, grant oversight/administration, data analysis, data management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CMS-funded programs or federal cooperative agreements.
  • Familiarity with Indiana’s rural health landscape, including hospitals, FQHCs, EMS, and community based organizations.
