The Deputy Legislative Director assists the FSSA Director in executing legislative goals and communicating with Indiana legislators. The role involves tracking legislative progress of FSSA-related bills, managing vote counts, facilitating bill reviews, and handling constituent services. The position may include testifying in committees, meeting with legislators, and engaging external stakeholders.
Key qualifications:- Broad knowledge of Indiana General Assembly and legislative process
- At least 8 years of experience in business administration, public administration, public policy, or related field
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze problems and present alternative solutions
- Knowledge of policy analysis, organizational analysis, and public administration
- Proficiency with standard computer programs for research and analysis
