The Contract Compliance Audit Specialist is responsible for auditing, monitoring, and reporting on post-award contract compliance activities for federally funded and state-administered transportation construction projects. The position serves as an administrative coordinator and data gatekeeper for contract compliance activities under the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) program.
The Program Manager conducts comprehensive contract compliance reviews, including FHWA Form 1273 requirements and post-award Local Public Agency (LPA) reviews, administers and monitors the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program, coordinates contractor compliance investigations, tracks compliance data and maintains organized administrative records for management review. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound analytical judgment and exceptional organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities- Comprehensive FHWA 1273 Contract Compliance Reviews:
Lead and conduct comprehensive contract compliance reviews on federally funded transportation construction projects. - Post-Award LPA Contract Compliance Reviews:
Conduct post-award contract compliance reviews of Local Public Agency (LPA) projects receiving federal-aid funding. - On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program Administration and Annual Reporting:
Administer the full lifecycle of the OJT program for applicable state-administered construction contracts. - Administration Coordination of Contractor Investigation:
Serve as central administrative resource for contract compliance activities and investigations.
This position is with INDOT’s Central Office in Indianapolis.
SalaryThe salary for this position traditionally starts at $47,320.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.
A Day In The Life- Monitor key performance indicators to ensure program effectiveness.
- Assist in developing, updating, and monitoring all policies and procedures related to the program area.
- Answer customer questions about program policies and procedures.
- Act as technical consultant to stakeholders to clarify and interpret policies and procedures.
- Prepare and disseminate monthly and annual program reports.
- Monitor compliance and make recommendations to the program to increase efficiencies
